Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) tests are molecular tests used as a diagnostic test to show if a person has an active coronavirus infection and should take steps to quarantine or isolate themselves from others. This test is administered as a nasopharyngeal swab. You can learn more about PCR Testing by clicking here.

COVID-19 Rapid Testing is now available. Antigen COVID-19 tests detect proteins from the virus. Antigen tests are very specific for the virus, but are not as sensitive as molecular tests. This means that a positive result is highly accurate, but a negative result does not rule out infection. This test is administered as a nasal swab. We are using the BD Veritor system antigen testing. You can learn more about this test by clicking here.

Antibody Testing: (Insurance Not Accepted)

  • Cost: $125
  • Results Available: 24-48 hours
  • FDA Compliance: This test has received Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) from the FDA

We are pleased to offer Roche’s Elecsys® Anti-SARS-CoV-2 S test in conjunction with Boston Medical Diagnostics. The serology (blood) test can be used to measure the level of antibodies in people who have been exposed to the SARS-CoV-2 virus, including those who have received Pfizer, Moderna and AstraZeneca vaccines.

For optimal results, individuals are encouraged to wait at least three weeks following an infection or a vaccination before taking the antibody test. The antibodies increase significantly within three weeks after the first injection, and the values are considerably higher after the second dose.

Influenza Testing: (Insurance Not Accepted)

  • Cost: $25 (can be done alone, or in combination with any other test)
  • Results Available: 10-20 minutes
  • FDA Compliance: FDA approved
