JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Medication Aide
Occupational Summary: Perform nursing functions with skill and professionalism. Be knowledgeable of DOT Federal regulations, drug screening collections, vaccine administration, rooming patients, collecting vitals, and assisting in injury/wound care.
Essential Required Functions of the Job:
- Perform physicals, lab draws, drug screen collection, breath alcohol tests, spirometry, audiograms, treadmill set up.
- Assist the provider with triage, first aid treatment, and medical procedures as needed.
- Complete appropriate documentation of care or assistance provided.
- Administer and educate about vaccine or immunizations.
- Restock supplies, removing outdated stock.
- Daily calibration of office equipment.
- Other duties as assigned
Experience:
- 1 years previous medical experience or 1 year of medical office and/or occupational health preferred.
Equipment:
- Spirometry
- Audiology
- Breath alcohol testing
- Electronic Medical Record
- Standard medical clinic equipment
Education and Certifications: Certified Medication Aide Certification
Willing to Obtain:
- Limited Scope of Practice Radiographer licensure in the State of Nebraska. Must pass the Examination for the Limited Scope of Practice in Radiography given by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- DOT drug screen collector certification
- BAT technician certification
- Spirometry NIOSH certified
- Audiogram proficiency or certified
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
