Meet Dr. John R. Jacobsen, M.D.
Dr. John R. Jacobsen is a Board Certified Family Practice physician and the founder and owner of Click Family Healthcare, with locations in Kearney and Broken Bow, Nebraska. Growing up in Merna, Nebraska, John spent over a decade as an agricultural banker before pursuing his passion for medicine, with a goal of practicing family medicine in rural areas.
After completing his residency, John practiced for over 10 years in Geneva, Nebraska, where he cared for patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics. His practice included obstetrical services, cesarean sections, endoscopies, minor surgical procedures, in-patient care, and emergency services. He also served as the hospital chief of staff, medical director of a nursing home, and medical director of a hospital outpatient senior behavioral health program.
John later moved to Omaha to serve as Chief Medical Officer of a start-up primary care center, focusing on administrative leadership. After 3 1/2 years, his desire to return to direct patient care led him to establish Click Family Healthcare.
John is actively involved in family medicine organizations at the state and national levels, including serving as Past President of the Nebraska Academy of Family Physicians and holding leadership roles with the American Academy of Family Physicians. He is also a member of the American Medical Association and the Nebraska Medical Association.
John has been married to Janet for over 39 years and is the proud father of two daughters, Jenny and Katie (Michael Allison), and grandfather to Easton and Briar.
