Rapid RT-PCR COVID-19 Testing Available Soon in Omaha Clinic Strada Healthcare

Omaha, NE – Strada Healthcare, an Omaha leader in convenient COVID-19 testing, just announced a new addition to their offerings.

Rapid COVID-19 RT-PCR testing will be available in their clinic starting October 11, 2021.

Standards for flying usually include a negative RT-PCR test within three days of flying – sometimes sooner. Typical COVID-19 RT-PCR testing has become notorious over the last year as a burden for those looking to travel abroad this way. This is because results for this test used to take 24-48 hours to process. This can be difficult for those traveling abroad as they are busy preparing for this and other time-consuming, but necessary, requirements.

An added benefit is that the BioFire® technology tests for, as stated above, 19 respiratory targets. In one comprehensive test, patients and their providers will have fast answers to the syndrome behind their symptoms and signs. For instance, if a patient doesn’t have COVID-19 but rather whooping cough, they will now know. This means faster, more accurate treatment and avoiding unnecessary antibiotic prescriptions when possible.
