Krista graduated from Creighton University with a bachelor of science in exercise science. She went on to receive her doctorate of physical therapy from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2011.
She is a certified exercise expert for aging adults (CEEAA) through the American Physical Therapy Association.
She has extensive training in manual therapy techniques including Mulligan Concepts, myofascial release, and manual lymphatic drainage.
She has studied the Schroth Method for the treatment of scoliosis, performs hundreds of scoliosis screens each year, and has presented to other physical therapists and health care professionals in central Nebraska to improve early detection of scoliosis in adolescence.
She also has obtained training in women’s health, including treatment of incontinence, pelvic pain, and postpartum rehabilitation. She is an Oncology Rehabilitation Specialist certified through the Physiological Oncology Rehabilitation Institute. She is skilled in both exercise intervention for oncology patients and treatment of lymphedema. She also has extensive experience in Pilates-based rehabilitation, as well as exercise management for diabetes.
She is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Nebraska Physical Therapy Association.
